Understanding the credit system

How credits are charged, when they refresh, and what happens when you run out.

Credit Cost

Most operations cost 1 credit per file. Convert an image? 1 credit. Compress a PDF? 1 credit. Some complex operations may cost more—you'll always see the cost before confirming.

When Credits Debit

Credits are debited when processing starts—not when the job enters the queue. This means you only pay for work that actually begins.

Failed Operations

If an operation fails due to a system error, credits are automatically refunded. You'll see the refund in your balance within seconds. No need to contact support.

Free Tier Refresh

Free users get 100 credits that reset daily at midnight UTC. Use them or lose them—they don't roll over.

Paid Plan Refresh

Pro subscriptions receive their full credit allocation monthly on the billing date. For example, if you signed up on the 15th, credits refresh on the 15th of each month. Pay as you go credits never expire.

Example

A Pro user with 12,000 monthly credits uses 20,000 by mid-month. On the billing date, they receive a fresh 12,000 credits—not 17,000.

Running Out

When you run out of credits, new operations are blocked until your credits refresh or you top up credits. Existing jobs in progress will complete—we won't interrupt work you've already started.
