What metadata do we keep?

Learn what we log about operations—and what we never store.

What We Log

For every operation, we record: job ID, file size (in bytes), input format, output format, timestamp, your tier (free/pro/business), and job status (pending/completed/failed).

Why We Log It

This metadata enables accurate billing, debugging when things go wrong, and usage analytics that help us improve the service. We need to know a job completed to count credits correctly.

What We Never Log

We never log file contents, original filenames, or your IP address (stored as a hash only). We don't record your location, EXIF data from images, or any content from your files.

Logged Never Logged
File size (bytes) File contents
Input/output format Original filename
Timestamp IP address (stored hashed)
User tier Location data
Job status EXIF/metadata from files

Data Retention Period

Individual job records (Job ID, file sizes, timestamps) are retained indefinitely for billing accuracy, support purposes, and internal analytics. We do not store filenames, EXIF data, or any other file metadata—only the minimum required to calculate credits and investigate issues.

Aggregate statistics (total operations, format popularity, processing trends) are retained indefinitely for service analytics. These contain no personally identifiable information.

Your actual files are deleted much sooner—see How long do we keep your files? for details.
